Overview

Developments in Administration (DinA) is the international, open access, and double-blind peer-reviewed online scientific journal of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA). It provides a scientific contribution in the fields of Public Administration, Development Studies, and Area Studies.

Focus and Scope

DinA focuses on contemporary processes of administrative reform undertaken for development purposes, understood in the framework of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals agenda. Its aim is to strengthen the research practice of non-Western countries, thus it especially welcomes (comparative) case studies of non-Western administrative areas and is explicitly open to unorthodox approaches and arguments.

Journal Sections

Research articles can be published stand-alone, or included in a symposium that approaches a special theme through a couple of consistent contributions, under the coordination of (a) guest editor(s).

The policy notes' section provides a space for concise contributions advocating public administration solutions to contemporary public policy challenges, and primarily targeting an audience of public administration professionals.

It also publishes book reviews, on basis of submissions.

All sections are indexed and double-blind peer reviewed.

Publication Frequency

DinA publishes two issues per year. New content is made available online as soon as available, before inclusion in an issue.

Open Access and Licencing Policies

DinA is a gold open access journal.

Authors sign a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND licence according to which the scientific material can be diffused in its integrality only, for non-commercial purposes, and remains attributed to its creators.
